Our Roots with “The Mest Dungeon”

Workers University is in partnership with “The Mest Dungeon” to bring you the best training you can get in the area. We run and operate together, bringing over 30 years of experience and expertise.

The foundation of standards and reputation in which we operate today was built on the shoulders of Mark and Troy Mest. Workers University is the curriculum and training program running in the The Mest Dungeon today through their head trainer Jason “Max” Havok. Who was, of course, trained at The Dungeon.

Mark and Troy Mest acquired The Dungeon in 1993 from their original trainer and have since gone on to build one of the premier training facilities in the Tri-State area. Many well-known names in the industry have walked through the Mest Dungeon doors. The Mests’ have trained hundreds of successful wrestlers in the PA, NY, NJ, MD and surrounding areas with the help of Dungeon mainstay Jim ‘Brannigan’ Good.

In addition to training at the Dungeon, Mark and Troy have operated one of the most respected and sought-after wrestling ring rental companies on the East coast wrestling scene. They have traveled with their ring, students in tow, from the tip of Maine to Southern Virginia on a regular basis. Student after student has benefited from the impeccable reputation and benefits of the Mests’ ring rental company.

Jason (Havok), Mark, and Troy even traveled with the ring and were the official ring crew for the infamous “Hero’s of Wrestling” pay per view in Mississippi. For better or worse, it’s a true moment in wrestling history. That ring is still standing and used in the school today. It was also featured on MTV’s Viva La Bam. Many of the biggest wrestling stars of the 80’s and 90’s and 2000’s were standing where you can work out!!

The Mest Brothers are an incredible knowledge resource and still lend their words of wisdom to the school, ring rentals, and students willing to listen and learn today.
